David Sparks is an Agoura High School alum with vast experience in both swimming and water polo. After graduating Agoura, he swam and played water polo at California Lutheran University.
David is the Head Coach of the Agoura Stingrays and manages practices to ensure the athletes are getting the best experience possible.
Richard Hamilton is the Head Coach of the Agoura Stingrays swim program. He handles many of the administrative functions of the program with his vast knowledge and expertise in business. In addition to his administrative duties, he can also be found on the pool deck overseeing practices and cheering on the athletes.

In addition to being the Technical Director for LAWPC, Dustin is also the head HS boys’ coach with LA Water Polo Club. As the HS boys’ coach, in 2014 he was at the helm of the 18U Boys team that took 1st at the 19U Ironman Superfinals earning Best Coach accolades in the process. He also led the 2012 18U Boys to an impressive silver medal finish at 2012 US Club Championships. Previously, as the head 16u boys’ coach, he led LA Water Polo to a California State Championship and United States Club Championship in 2010. That same 16u boys’ team earned a bronze medal that year at the National Junior Olympics. In 2011, Dustin led the 16u boys’ team to a silver medal and the 18u boys’ team to a bronze medal at the National Junior Olympics.
Returning from a two-year stint as the Assistant Coach of the UCLA Men’s Water Polo Team, which saw an NCAA Championship, the 9th for the program., Dustin is the Head Coach of the Boys Water Polo team at Agoura High School. From 2003 to 2012, Dustin led the Chargers to seven consecutive Marmonte League titles between 2006-2012 as well as the school’s first ever Boys’ Water Polo CIF Title in 2007 and unprecedented back-to-back-to-back CIF Titles in 2010, 2011 and 2012- a first for any Ventura County water polo team.
For Team USA, Dustin has served as the Head Coach for the Men’s Youth Team and the Assistant Coach for the Mens Junior National Team that traveled to Hungary for Junior Worlds this past summer. He was the Head Coach for the Men’s Junior 2 National Team, which brought home silver in the 2012 UANA Championships in Montreal, Canada. He was also the assistant coach for the USA Men’s Youth National Team that traveled to Perth, Australia in 2012 for the first ever FINA Youth World Championships. He served as the USA Water Polo Olympic Development (ODP) Head Coach for the Coastal Zone Youth Men’s Team from 2008-2012, leading them to consecutive National Championships in 2008 and 2009. He also serves as the Los Angeles Director for the elite Ironman Water Polo League.
In 2011, Dustin was selected as the USA Water Polo ODP Southern California Region Top Coach as well as the Ironman League’s Best 16Overs Coach. In 2009, Dustin was selected as a finalist for the Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach Award. Only 24 coaches are selected each year from the millions of youth sports’ coaches all over the nation. Most recently, in 2012, Dustin was honored with the Bill Barnett Distinguished Coaching Award for the Coastal California Zone.
Jason has been with LA Water Polo for many years, coaching at the 14u, 16u and 18u levels on the girls side of the program. LAWPC is very excited to have Coach Jason back at the helm of our 12/14U Girls program. Jason has also been involved with the National Youth program. From 1999-2004 he coached the youth zone team for our area.
On the high school side, Jason is wrapping up another incredibly successful year as the Girls Head Coach at Agoura High School. A 24-year coaching veteran, Coach Jason has served as the girls Head Coach for 20 years and the Boys’ Head coach from 1992-2003, 2014 and led the boys’ program to three Marmonte League Championships in 1994, 1998 and 2002, 2014 as well as 12 straight playoff appearances.
In 1996 Jason helped to form the first ever girls water polo team at AHS and has been in charge of the program ever since. From 1996-2016 he has led them to 17 Marmonte league titles, 5 CIF Championship Finals and 2 CIF Titles.
Jason resides in Moorpark, CA with his wife and daughters.
